4th Annual Black and White Athens Photography Exhibition — February 2026
Hosted by Blank Wall Gallery at Serafino City of Athens, Athens, Greece

In 2026, Maxine Noel exhibited her black and white film photograph Tracing the Wind at the 4th Annual Black and White Athens Photography Exhibition hosted by Blank Wall Gallery in Athens, Greece.
The exhibited image was of a Tuareg guide relaxing on a dune, writing in his native language in the sand, on a windy afternoon. It was photographed in the Sahara Desert near Djanet, Algeria, on Fomapan 400 using a Pentax K1000. The work forms part of Noel’s broader documentary exploration of the Sahara and North African cultural landscapes, specifically from the project, Beyond the Dunes: A Tuareg Legacy.
Blank Wall Gallery is an established contemporary art gallery in Athens known for hosting international photography exhibitions and juried showcases. Participation in the 4th Annual Black and White Exhibition marked Noel’s first international gallery exhibition.

The 2026 Black and White Portraits Lenscratch Exhibition — March 2026
Hosted by Lenscratch Online

Between the Lines captures a quiet, joyful moment during the annual Marist Mercy Care Summer Camp in December 2025. A young boy smiles from within the frame of a football goalpost, suspended between play and pause. The net becomes both barrier and threshold, holding him within its geometry while his expression remains open and unguarded.
Photographed on Foma 400 35mm film using a Canon EOS 5, the image embraces the tactile grain and tonal depth of black and white film. The work reflects my ongoing commitment to documenting dignity, childhood, and community within spaces of care and connection.
Selected for the 2026 Black & White Portraits Exhibition on Lenscratch, the photograph forms part of an international showcase of contemporary portraiture.
